FWCC 10m TT 26 Jul 'Jean Gray Handicap Cup ' P829 Official Results

At last the alleged jetstream moved to where it should be and consequently it was a warm evening with a light wind. There were 28 starters and 27 finishers. FWCC's Dave Dalton and Phil Burton were 1st and 2nd with times of 22:44 and 23:23 respectively. Third was Colin Dixon of the newly formed Portsdown Hill CC with a time of 23:57. Joe Donohue's time would have been much faster, possibly putting him in the top 3, if he hadn't been baulked by a combine and a tractor for the first 2 miles or so - hard luck Joe, as it is he was still the fastest Junior. Poor Ollie Brotherton, first time back time trialling for some time and he forgot to do the loop so had to be disqualified.

It was also the FWCC Jean Gray Handicap Cup race. The winner is the best FWCC rider on handicap. The handicap allowance was calculated by Don based on recent performances in club 10s plus a little magic dust. Best on handicap was one of our newest Juniors Tim Goodhead with an adjusted time of 20:09 - well done Tim.
